WESA

W.E.S.A.

WHAT IS WESA?

W.E.S.A. stands for West End School Association.

This is a voluntary group of parents, whose objective is to fundraise on behalf of the school, in order to supplement the school's budget, to aid in the improvement of our children's learning environment, both in and out of the classroom.

EXAMPLES OF PROJECTS WESA HAVE SUPPORTED ARE:

  • New laptops for pupil use
  • Computer mobile charging stations

  • Overhead projectors

  • Additional classroom amenities, art equipment etc.

  • Playground shelters

  • Playground storage for mobile play equipment

  • Semi-permanent football goalposts

HOW DO WE FUNDRAISE?

W.E.S.A. raises money by organising events throughout the year. We also apply for grant funding, where applicable. Examples of past events are as follows:

  • Summer Fayre
  • Family Sports Day
  • Quiz Night
  • Christmas Fayre
  • Pupil sponsor challenges
  • Race Night
  • Raffles
  • Tombola

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

These events rely heavily on the contributions of the parents, such as donations of cakes, second-hand uniform, tombola prizes etc. but also their time.  Every contribution, however big or small, is greatly appreciated.

W.E.S.A. always welcomes new volunteers and ideas for fundraising.  We appreciate how busy life can be, so there is no pressure to give more time than you are able.

W.E.S.A. would like to take this opportunity to thank our members, past and present, and to give a warm welcome to any parents who would like to get in touch to find out how they can help.
